2024 DIBS/VOLUNTEER REQUIREMENT

2024 Season Volunteer Requirements:

All players  (EXCEPT 4/5 Tball) have a 3 hour volunteer requirement this season. Volunteer opportunities are posted through the DIBs page. We will have various opportunities such as concession stand, field maintenance, clean ups, etc. Coaching also fulfills your volunteer requirement, so sign up to coach. We allow 3 coaches per team. Unfulfilled volunteer requirement will result in a $300 additional charge at the end of the season.

CCYBSA will be  operating the Concession Stand during Carver Black Sox home games! Come out to the game, support the local team!

9U Tournament Team

If  you have a player registered for the 9/10 rec league baseball, and are interested in playing in 2 summer tournaments for 9U, we will put together a tournament team. We will need 10-12 players for this, so interest will dictate if we put this together. Tournament dates have not been set yet but options being considered are Belle Plaine tournament June 14-16 and Shakopee June 21-23. There will be an additional cost per player to play on this team. Cost depends on number of players we have, and the tournament fees. We will collect this via check. Please email CCYBSA@Gmail.com and indicate if your player is interested! (Player cannot turn 10 prior to May 1)

UMPIRES NEEDED

Interested in umpiring in Carver? Please email us to join our umpire roster!

Interested in becoming an umpire?

As you may know, there is a nation-wide officials shortage in all sports - including baseball.  The MBL and our communities are not immune to this.  We need umpires in all communities.  If you've ever considered umpiring, now is a great time to gear-up and start working games.  Umpire schedules are flexible, you work outdoors and make a difference for numerous young ball players - and you get paid!  Even if you are only able to work a few games or tournaments, your efforts would be appreciated.

HOW DO I BECOME AN UMPIRE?
Your local association can put you in touch with an umpire assignor and clinician in your area. If you can't find the right person from your association or need any help, contact the MBL. We work with several umpire associations who cover games throughout the MBL, as well as local associations who provide and train their own umpires. Below are some of the umpire associations the MBL works with.
